Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Collins Creek Public School students hone their writing and speaking skills to participate in the annual Rivers Interspeak Public Speaking competition each year.
Throughout the year students are encouraged to speak formally during assemblies and special events.
Creative and performing arts
Our students benefit from creative arts being embedded into our learning programs. Music and visual arts run throughout the year, with dance and drama opportunities coming to the fore during terms 3 and 4, where performing arts are showcased during our Variety Night performances.
Collins Creek Public School also compete in the Northern Rivers Film By movie making competition every second year. Every third year, our school exhibits a large body of works at The Roxy Gallery in Kyogle.
Trips and excursions
Excursions are an important way for students to see the world, have new experiences and grow in confidence and maturity.
Our students love the variety of excursions we offer including, but not limited to Sport and Recreation centres, Galleries and Museums, Science centres and Canberra.
